Millet is an ancient grain and was the main grain in China before rice, it is also part of the Hunza diet. Millet is a gluten-free alkaline grain with a sweet nutty flavour. It digests easily and is rich in protein, the high levels of tryptophan help produce serotonin which calms the mind. Millet also acts as a prebiotic supporting good microflora in the digestive system, it will help hydrate the colon and prevent constipation.
