Spelt is an ancient grain with a nutty flavour. It has 30% more protein than wheat and is an excellent dietary source of Vit B1 (thiamine), Vit B2 (riboflavin), Vit B3 niacin, manganese, copper and fibre. It is sometimes used as an alternative grain by those with mild gluten intolerance.
Ideal as a breakfast cereal or for making bread or cookies and also for blending with vegetable juices.
