A Korean speciality, pure natural bamboo salt, contains more than 70 essential minerals and micro nutrients. Pure sea salt is placed in hollow bamboo stems then sealed with clay and roasted for about 10 hours in a pinewood fueled furnace at temperatures between 1,000 to 1,500°C. This procedure can be repeated from three to nine times. In the ancient times, the process was only repeated three times. This salt has been roasted 6 times. This method enhances the amalgamation of minerals from the bamboo and the yellow clay into the sea salt. However, it is thought that Bamboo Salt has effectiveness when baked more times, 9 times being the best.
The alkaline salt has a high oxidation reduction potential (orp) and its alkaline nature helps to neutralize the acidic toxins in the body.
